If the services is required for trade or Permanent basis
Officials from Solid Waste will visit your premises to see if it is suitable for the type of services that required i.e. (enough Space to avoid damages ) If all in good order, the owner will the fill the application form and attach all necessary documents and return it.

Booking Procedure for Halls:

Ensure that your Identity Document/Birth Certificate and in the case of funerals, a death certificate is available.
Once the Booking Clerk confirms the availability of a hall, you will be advised of the costs i.t.o. Councils tariffs and you will be required to sign a hire contract. Only once the contract is signed is signed AND charges are paid, will the hall be considered as hired.
For the convenience of the public, the contract may be faxed to them for signature and they may perform an EFT payment. The signed contract and proof of payment must then be faxed to the relevant booking office.
Process for application for use of Amenities:
- Applicant makes a provisional booking for the use of the Amenity by visiting the relevant office where bookings are done or doing a telephonic booking.
- A formal request for use of the amenities is made by the applicant providing as much detail as possible.
- A formal response is sent back to the applicant which includes the applicable tariffs and terms and conditions for use of the amenities including the need for the applicant to comply with the Safety And Sport And Recreation Events Act as well as an indemnity form that must be completed.
- Applicant collects a quotation as per the applicable tariff and makes payment prior to use of the amenity.
- Applicant provides the relevant amenities office with proof that payment has been made and the signed indemnity form.
- The use of the amenity is hereby confirmed at this stage subject to exigencies of council.
- The applicant has to keep prove of payment and the letter that was given to applicant as per number 3 and provide such as requested to do so by any official within amenities.
- Subsequent to use of the amenity by the applicant a refundable deposit (if applicable) is requested from the Finance Directorate to be refunded to the applicant.
NB: The above process is not exhaustive and may require the applicant to meet with amenities officials and officials from other departments prior to the booking/event.
Application for use of public open spaces
Applicant applies in writing, stating all contact details for specific open space including date of event and what kind of event.
Applicant to state whether they be using any equipment on site, whether application has been forwarded to disaster, traffic etc. management for approval.
Once approved by relevant departments, an application letter response includes indemnity and claim form which must be filled in by the applicant.
All application approved by BCMM accompanies tariff fee
Payment made at 64 Commercial road, Arcadia for Coastal and at the Finance cashiers for Inland.
Open spaces must be municipal land and maintained by BCMM.

Once confirmed the availability of Bins, you will be advised of the costs i.t.o. Councils tariffs and you will be required to pay upfront or provide Municipal Account.
